What are the axle pivot bushings supposed to look like?
I searched and read for days about the need to have axle pivot bushings replaced to prevent wandering, but I can't find any good pictures of a "good" bushing, installed correctly. When I look up at mine, it seems like the mount bracket is wider than the axle arm bushing. Should there be rubber filled in between the inside edges of the bracket? Mine looks like the rubber shrunk, but it's not deteriorated or cracked. It looks weird to me and I just wonder if anybody has a photo of a good one installed.

That's what mine look like too. There's rubber going in between each arm and the bracket itself. If yours aren't like that, I'd recommend new bushings. They're not very expensive.
I just bought a complete set for my other Bronco. Those bushings plus the end links for the sway bars, and it was about $25 for all of them.
