New radiator fans after front end collision

Our 2011 Expedition was involved in a front end collision which facilitated the replacement of just about everything forward of the engine.

After completion, it seemed the radiator fans are louder than I recall. The fan on the vehicle's right will engage and blow a lot of the hot air out but the fan is very loud. Checked to make sure nothing was hitting the blades that I could see and it looks clear. Does the fan only have one speed? Off and "howling"?

Also noticed that the vehicle's left fan doesn't engage at all. Body shop guy said that would only engage if the engine was "really" hot. Is this true?

No temperature issues otherwise with the vehicle. Just a loud fan that engages while stopped.

I honestly never occurred to me that the fan was loud prior to the accident, but of course post body shop work, my ears are perked for any anomaly. Ideas? Or just normal?

Per the body shop which is owned by a Lincoln dealer...they are OEM Ford parts.

I only have one fan on my 08 but I did have the fan replaced becuase it would not disengage and would roar all the time. Does your fan roar load when revved up in neutral?

The fan appears to engaging when it is needed. Typically at idle without the flow of a air created while driving down the road. There's no real correlation to the RPM of the engine with the fan engage unless it is rev'd to create more heat while not moving...
