I've seen this on other forums a few times seems to just be a bad cast and some other perfect conditions that are causes. Lucky the push rod is normally the weak link and will bend before something more expensive.

Just out of curiosity why did you change injectors.

From the time I bought the truck it was hard starting and ran very rough when it first started. Then I had a meltdown towing my jeep when I lost power and started smoking like a locomotive. Spent a couple of weeks researching possible causes and finally had a local diesel specialist take a look. He came away thinking it might just be injector o-rings and recommended I start with that. I ordered the o-rings but then started thinking about how much work that was going to be and did I really want to go through all that and put injectors with 240K on them back in. The conclusion I came to was no. So........after much searching I ordered 150's from Swamps and a TS chip. Hopefully I can get this all back together and will be able to realize the benefits of the new injectors without any more issues with the rods. Sorry to be so long winded!

They all seem to break in the same spots. Weak points in the cast and just the right amount of heat. There are quite a few competition trucks running up in the 4000 4500 rpm range with no problems. The injector nozzle spring breaking could have been the perfect condition that exagerated the weak point in the rocker.
