Am I ever going to get my truck?

I ordered my new ecoboost screw on March 23, according to my dealers tracking they had it built around the middle of April and was set to arrive here on April 30. Well its almost the end of May and its still sitting on a ramp in Deerborn MI?? After alot of bugging I finally got a reply from my dealer today. I'll Copy it below.

"Sorry about the delay on your truck. I got word back from my ford rep this morning. They are holding a bunch of trucks for a “quality assurance check” <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
They take random vehicles and ensure everything is quality assured before they send them out of the factory. So if you think about it, your truck is getting the “special treatment” not all trucks get. "

Is this really a special treatment, or are there a bunch of people pocking and prodding my new baby? Does anyone know exactly what they will be doing to it?

Thanks Guys

This usually means they found an issue with a part that needs to be corrected on many trucks that were built, before they ship to the dealer. While it's frustrating to be "so close" to getting your new truck, I'd rather have them correct any issues before shipping. Hang in there.

Dealer called today and said that it appears to be in transit. Maybe complaining does help!

06/25/2021 ordered a 2021 F150 limited with everything. Well my 2021 becomes a 2022 overnight also at the same time they go over my invoice n they had several items I wanted that were deleted or just over looked forgot. In the end it all was corrected spray in bed liner and the retractable bed tonneau. The safe got deleted. Now they say it’s shipped n will be here by May 23rd 2022.
I have to disclose that Ford motors gave me a $3,500 private offer n I can use any public offer’s that are available in my area.

This is what I’m waiting for n I’ve learned a ton about the truck.

Just bought the Premium Plan today, didn't even shop around or ask our selling dealer - I figure if Granger is willing to do this for us, they should get the business!

Thank you Granger! Perhaps you should have a thread down in the 2020 MY F150s, since there are still those of us that are still under the 36 month warranty and may not be aware. Heck, I'll save you the trouble and post a link down there to this thread...
