Wow..what a ton of great info in this thread! I recently acquired a '55 F100. Plan right now is to go 347 stroker, c6, cv IFS. At least for starters. I can tell already that Ill be coming back to this post for ideas. I don't have near the fab skill, but overall theme for my '55 is "Purple Heart". I can't wait to see what else you do. Great job Gary!!
When I first started reading this thread I expected to see a finished truck. Look forward to following this build to the end. I appreciate your explanations of modifications completed instead of just showing the finished product. I know you have heard it many times already but I will say it again. Great job!!!
P-55 what are the dimensions of the bottom metal spacers you made? Thanks David
lol, I would have to refer back to that area of the build but if memory serves me, the spacers were 13 inches long, 1 1/2 thick, and 2 inches wide. I cut the basic taper to match the frame with a band saw then used a hand grinder to fine them to the frame.

Thanks, I haven't been doing much in recent months, been out of town a lot and on top of that we have moved to a new house.
Project-55
Wondered were you'd been. Thought maybe you'd been busy doing the firefighting stuff. Looking forward to seeing you get back to work on your 55.
I had messaged P-55 a while ago and he said that the project had stalled out as he was moving and his work load was changing.
Just checked today and he hasn't been on the forum in 2 years. Hopefully all is well with him and life has just gotten busy.
