Flat cam, roller lifters?

Flat cam, roller lifters?
I purchased a short block from Ford racing. 351W (M 6009-D58). It is a roller block. Can I use my non- roller cam (D30Z-6250-A cast iron) in this block, with roller lifters, or do I have to get a roller cam? This is going into a E350 box truck and I need torque. If I change to the roller cam, is F4TZ 6250 B a good choice? Any aftermarket equivalent?

Call Competition Cams tech line, they can recommend the best one for you, as I have no experience with aftermarket roller cams (yet-very soon to change). You should most definately use the roller setup, it is a very smooth option that you have. It's more expensive at first, but roller cams are more capable of making power, and make your enginer smoother overall. TK
