Experience with MorRyde Pin Box?

I've done about all I can to get my 5th wheel ride height level and get the pin weight right, and it's very close, but I still get some chucking on rougher sections of highway in particular. It's nothing severe by any stretch, and pretty much what I'd call normal for the height and weight of the trailer, but I'm just looking for options to improve the ride and comfort when towing, especially with two little kids.

Anyone have any experience with the MorRyde pin box setup? It seems like a good idea in theory to eliminate some of the chucking and harshness that can come with towing a 5th. I'd like to hear some real world experience with it before I pursue it further and spend the money.

I'm towing with a 2012 F250 CC 4X4, 6.7L. Trailer is a 28' Komfort with dual slides - it's short, but high and heavy. I'm using a Curt Q5 hitch with the R5 slider and I'm very happy with it, I don't think it's the problem at all.

Thanks.

I just installed the Mor-Ryde box on my Montana and it definitely reduces the jerking/chucking you get on poor sections of road. Although it does nothing for up and down forces, I really wasn't having an issue with that anyway. I'm happy with the improvement and like the simplicity versus that of an airbag box. If you're having a porpoising problem, airbags (on the truck) are a good solution, I've had them on my last three trucks.

Up/down is not an issue, the ride is actually quite good other than the bit of chucking.

I had initially planned on airbags but after hooking up the 5th, it only settled 2" and is really close to level. It's actually a little hitch high, so I don't want to be raising the rear end of the truck at all. I need more weight on the pin box not less.

I don't think airbags are the answer for me.

Yeah, I didn't think you were having a problem there, but threw it out just in case. I'm using airbags because I have a heavy pin (2750 lbs.) and was getting a pretty good case of driveline shudder upon launching from a stop. The air bags, at about 55 psi loaded, solved most of this. You'll like the Mor-Ryde pinbox.
