Any regrets to converting from Air to Spring suspension

I have a rear air bag slow leak.

Thinking of going with a Strutmaster's conversion kit. It looks like for the same money of 2 rear shock/bags, I can replace all 4 air shocks with a spring/shock set up.

My main concern is the 'check suspension' light on the information center and how the ride will be.

Any advise you have would be helpful. I have a 2005 EB 4x4.

Thanks,
Peter

Without a doubt, the 4 wheel coil conversion is the only way to go. The air system on the '03-up Exped/Nav is by far, the worst system....and the most expensive system, that has ever rolled out of Ford. I've sold a ton of them and have never had a complaint on the ride quality. To my knowledge, there's 2 ways to disarm the check suspension message on those systems.

I converted my front air ride to the Strut master coil over kit and left the back air. To get rid of the light on the dash the kit will have Instructions on how to get rid of it . If I remember correctly one wire gets cut.

I did the strutmaster for my 99 navi. Best thing I ever did to it. It still tows my boat great. It rides so much better than it used to. I just left the dummy light on. So it stays on. But its all good. I definetly recommend ditching the air ride and going with springs. It was easy to install. I did it alone in my garage in probably a couple of hours. This was about 2 years ago. Been great ever since.
