Could be - my stepson told me about them and said they were local to the Memphis area.

I guess Mathew just ain't in it that deep..............

Sometimes I wonder just what kinda music he's gittin' me to listen to

WHO DID "Green Grass and High Tides", from Florida?

The "Outlaws"?

*I swear my mind is numb right now................

Did I hear correctly Gregg Allman has a new album coming out? Heard what I think was a new tune in his signature style----sounded pretty good!

Train, Train by Blackfoot has always been one of my favorite tunes---hard to believe a drummer fronted that band!

The Allman Brothers are the Godfathers of Southern Rock. Their influence is strong in almost every Southern rock band:
Marshall Tucker,
Lynyrd Skynyrd,
Molly Hatchet,
Charlie Daniels (yeah, I know. country, but his early stuff...),

"Whipping Post" is probably my favorite song by the Allmans. There's so much soul and pain in that song. But I love the back story of "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed." (<-- although this is probably the true reason for the song, it isn't the original version of the story I heard. Someone else can explain it)

I ain't wasting time no more, cause time goes by like pouring rain..............

And don't forget .38 Special, in fact all those Van Zant brothers are all badass southern rockers.

Marshall Tucker is my favorite. Toy and Tommy Caldwell died way too young.
