Howdy, I'm kind of new to Fords and vans. I say "kind of" because this is the second Ford I've ever owned and I have been driving Ford vans for the last 4.5 years that belong to my employer. I bought my van for hauling mountainbikes, kayaks and canoes and doing some camping as well. I picked up an 04 e250 with 146000 miles for $1500 from my employer. Just befroe it got replaced we rebuilt the front end, replaced the rotors and pads and put new tires on it. I think I got a pretty good deal.

Sounds like a great deal, plus you've got plenty of room for bikes and stuff.

Wow! That's one crazy great deal! I too just bought a new-to-me '03 E250 extended body, 165K miles with all the good options: PDL, PW, A/C, remote keyless entry---paid $4500. This will replace my '00 E250 standard body pushing 265K miles----both with the 5.4 gas motor.

One thing I'll miss from my '00 is the raised roof and extended rear doors. Originally a wheel chair transport van I bought it from the 2nd owner who wanted to haul KTM bikes. The extra roof height and taller rear doors makes for easier loading, no more head bumping!

Nice find----it'll serve you well with just a little bit of maintenance. Oil changes and proper spark plugs will be your best friends for long, dependable life of your Ford van. BTW I've been a long time GM performance fan but even us Bowtie guys know good vehicles!

Welcome to FTE too!

I've noticed some kind of resonance in the intake. It only does it at idle.

I found out today that they replaced the plugs and coils when they did everything else.
