Chromed out Powerstroke V8 badge 2007 F350 SD
I have been asking around to see what the easiest way is to remove the sticker on the lower door badges on a 2007 SD. It is the badge that says "powerstroke turbo diesel V8." I have learned that it's not like a typical sticker. A little goof off or goo gone does not do the trick. I found that it takes a small razor blade, q-tips, goof off, and time (lots).
I bought the razor blades that break off into little pieces. This allows me to be more precise when scraping off the sticker, and get into the little groves. In the other hand, I keep a q-tip wet with goof off. Keeping the surface wet allows you to scrap the sticker a little better, and avoid scratching the chrome. I also keep my razor blade sharp by breaking off new pieces every few letters. Now, I will say this was my first time, and I did scratch the chrome a little, but it is not noticeable. I only did this because the black was looking dull, and I like the chrome look. I decided to keep the red sticker around the "turbo diesel" just to be different. This may not be the best way, but it was the only way through all my research that got the job done. Both sides took me about 2 hours, but it was worth it.
