I have a 89 F250 2wd and im lifting it this summer and putting 35s on it, my question is how much power will or might lose by running stock 3.55 gears with 35s?? im currently running 33s. and its a 351w with a C6

2wd trucks could also come with 4.10 ratios. It just happens to be one of the stock gears. Even with my truck, I don't like having 35" tires on it behind the 351w anymore because it loses ALL of its get up and go. I'm sure going back to 4.10 gears would put an end to that though.

You could put 4:10s in(they were an optional gear in 2wds) or just leave 33s on it and save money by buying a smaller tire, not lifting it and not changing gears

Idk that 2wds, came with 4.10s, thought they all came with 3.55s. But 4.10s and 35s should be no problem in powerloss right?

I bought USA Standard Gear 4.56 gearing, cost me about $180 with shipping and everything, and my carrier bearings and pinion bearings were good. My dad helped me put it in.

Thanks man! And yours can too, it just takes time and a lot of work. I am running close to 8" of lift. I got a set of 35's on now, but they look too small. I need at least 37's.

I like the cepek wheels, did you upgrade rim size? i was considering those but might not have enough money (high school kid) so i might just go with MB wheel razors

The average gear change is $500-800. That is parts and labor. If you have never done it before, leave it to the profesionals

I got the 15"x8" rim. I paid $100 each for the rims, plus shipping. My next set of tires I want 37x12.5xr15 Superswamper Irok radials. If I got any bigger than 37's I go to a 18" rim.
