Quick injector question

Quick injector question
Guys,
I'm looking at upgrading from stock to Stage 1 injectors, along with a few other things in the near future (38R, DP Tuner) for under 400-hp towing gains. I've been trying to reserach the details of what the differences are, from info gained from a few differemt websites:
From RRD:
AC - Came in high torque version of the T444E and didn't come in any Powerstrokes. They have the same internals as the AB injectors with the exception of the single shot plunger and barrel and are 160cc.
AD - These are found in all late '99-'03 Powerstrokes and T444Es, and are a Split Shot Injector
AE - Long lead AD injector that was used to cure a "cackle" issue.
From Full Force Diesel/Casserly:
"94-03 Stage 1 Single Shot 160CC
Stage one reman performance injectors to increase the performance and horsepower of your powerstroke diesel. The injectors in the 94-97 Ford Powerstroke will increase horsepower from 50-100hp to the rear wheels with a performance chip. In the 99-03 Powerstoke diesel you will have to run a custom programmed chip to make the transition from split shot injection to the new single shot injection. Horsepower increases from 50-75hp and mileage increase from the more effecient single shot design."
So, by reading this, Can I safely say that-
1) for my stock 2002 truck, I should have AD code injectors, possibly an AE in Cyl 8
2) The Stage 1 injectors from FFD flow the same 160cc rate as the hi torque AC injectors,
Does this sound correct? Basically, the Stage 1 single shot injector is a AC injector, correct?

Exactly. Only key point is you will need tunes to run the ac codes(aka) stage 1's due to them being single shot where yours and all super duties came split shot. Just like you said.
Maybe there are a few vendors that tweak the ac codes and call em stage 1.5's or something but I know casserly (full force) is straight ac codes. These injectors will suit you if you can be content! Specially with a turbo and tuner. I made 345hp with basically the same setup. Honestly to me it seems like way more power than I can use. Egt's get crazy when pulling heavy!

Pulling heavy is what I'm planning to do- not in the next few months, but probably by next year getting a larger RV.
I want to add some more power, but also keep EGT's in check- I'm only really looking at a couple very mild tow tunes from Jody, and probably a general econo tune, but would like the turbo and injectors to accompany it.
What kinds of EGTs were you seeing? Did you dial down your tunes or injectors after seeing the higher temps?

mike whatever the code designation is for the sticks youll love stage 1 injectors....i run swamps 175/146 single shot stage 1's and love them...matched with my h2e its the perfect setup...i also run a tapercore intercooler and have nice fuel system upgrades and an adrenaline hpop....all that combined lets me tow relatively cool and gives me plenty of power....
