I have a check engine light, need a code reading tool. What type interface does the 2002 E350 with 7.3 diesel use?

And once I have the code, where can I look up what it means?

you just need a standard OBD2 code reader, which is used for ALL highway vehicles 96-up. the plug for it will be somewhere under the dashboard, most are fairly obvious.

 

Once you have the code, just enter it into google "P0300" and it should kick back some results.

You could use the scanguageII to monitor many vital functions and then read codes when they do pop up.

Thanks, found it. The IAT was unplugged at the airbox. Oddly it has been for months but just got the CEL yesterday.
