F 250 99 v8 abs light on, speedo doesnt work and transmission hard shifts
Hello. First of all excuse me my bad english.
I have a 99 ford f 250 v8. One month ago my girlfriend crash the truck. After i repair it, the service engine soon came on, the abs lights on, speedo doesnt work and transmission hard shifts. I replaced the vss sensor located on the top of rear diff., checking wires and it appears to be normal, replace pcm and nothing....
One of my friends says maybe the ABS module is broken.
where is the abs module located on this truck?
The service manual says its located under the baterry but i dont see anything (maybe the module gone away with the crash)...
any information will be apreciated.

The ABS module should be in front of the steering box, right on top of the chassis rail, if memory serves. It's a pain to get to.
I would jack the rear of the truck off the ground, chock the front wheels, whatever, to make sure it won't move. Pull the plug from the ABS unit that the VSS wiring is on, put a digital volt meter on AC volts on the connections from the VSS, start the engine, put it in drive so that the rear wheels are turning.
First, WELCOME to FTE!
Check the voltage coming from the VSS - you should probably see at least 0.2 volts, 0.3 would be better.
Looking at that crash, your friend might be right. The ABS unit might have taken a hit.
Let us know how it works out.
