Batteries
Just found out one of my Motorcraft batteries was only putting out 100 amps. Ford replaced both for free. Truck starts amazingly well and I now realize that my starting issues last winter were the result of a weak battery and not turning over fast enough for a good start. I love free and simple solutions.

Rusty Axlerod is right in his statement about the alternator or FICM.
A Low battery can put one heck of a load on the alternator and cause it
to fail later. That is why you should never charge a dead battery with
the alternator in what ever you are using. Use a plug in battery charger.
Every one that has read much here knows what low voltage can do to a FICM.
That being said keep an eye on that alternator output for a while. You may of not
done any damage. But if you did it can take time to show up.
