Not a ford but I hope someone might be able to help.

My girlfriends 03 sunfire keeps poping the cooling fan fuse.
The fan motor is new as of last year so I don't think it's the fan. Anyonehane any other thoughts on why the fuse keeps poping?
The wiring looks good as well

This is driving me nuts

Replace the fan. Only thing on that fuse. It's drawing too many amps. Replace it. I have the schematic, it's the fan.

Can also electrically disconnect the fan motor; if the fuse stops popping, you've located the problem.

I had this issue last year and replaced the fan last year. I don't think It would have gone through a fan already...

Who did you buy the fan through. If its from napa, autovalue, or another parts store like that. There could be a good chance you got a faulty one. I went through for napa starters before I got one that worked

Here's a screenshot of the schematic.

It's the fan or a short.
