Budd #73240s, 17.5" Tubeless Single Style Wheels - Ideal for 1948 to 1951 F-3s

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $75
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): CRX & pre '92 Civic, '92+ Civic/EL & Del Sol
Item Condition: IL
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped
Engine: Part suitable for gas truck

I went picking this week and found this set of tubeless Budd #73240 wheels that are 17.5" x 5.25" having the 8 lug x 6.5" bolt pattern. These are single rear wheel style (SRW) and came off the pictured 1961 Ford based motor home. These wheels have been discussed at length in the forums and are good replacements for the 17" widow makers that came fitted to 1948 to 1951 F-3s having the 14" rear drums. They, as well, are a good replacement option for any truck having this bolt pattern and multi-part wheels. The wheels are in good shape and have the "innie" hub cap nubs which accept the stock F-2/3/250 hub caps. Price is $75 each. Shipping costs are the responsibilty of the buyer, but I will prepare them for shipping and deliver to the local UPS.

The traction tires pictured behind the bare wheels are some I found for myself and are not included or available for sale. Stu

So those Budd wheels fit a 49 F-3? Well as soon as I can double check but I am 95% sure this truck is all original and has the 14" drums on it I will have to pull the trigger on them. I will keep in touch. nick1367@gmail.com
Thanks Stu!

Yeah, they fit the 14" drums. I had a different pair just like them on a parts truck not long ago. Stu

Josh - I left him where he's resting. It's a 1961 model and is the only motor home I've come across that was based on a 3/4 ton Ford chassis. If you want to save it to add to your collection I can send you contact info, but that'd be a real rescue mission even for you. The wheels have been sold and will be replacing a set of F-3 widow makers. Stu
