I've had my KM2's for about 30k and 4 years, still 50%+ tread on em. Just make sure you get an alingment every year and make sure the place doing it actually does it properly. Noise level is decent for a mud, but they will tear the mud up when you leave pavement. Personally I wont buy any other tire, BFG's got it right with the KM2!

I am currently running the KM2 and I love it. Hands down the best tire I've ever owned. I'm about 50% tread left and they aren't that noisy although the truck is by no means quiet to begin with. I'll only get about 30-35K out of them. If they would last 50K they would be the perfect tire, but soft tires wear quick. I do a lot of off-roading and they are outstanding. As long as they fit in my budget, I will buy these again when my current set wears out.

What about tread wear? I've had mine for about 30000 miles and they are a little low. I expect to replace them at 40,000.

LOL... Because if you want a trail worthy MT, Then you need to get a super swamper type tire... Nothing that is road worthy (tread life wise) is truely a MT...

What I have been told and seen from others running them is a 30k tread life on average.

I`m running BFG Rugged Terrains. Love them so far. They have about 12,000 on them and they still look new. Some of that was pulling my 30ft 5th wheel.

I failed to mention one of the biggest deciding factors also, $320/corner!

and never again.

had 31 10.50 15 and 25k over 4 years and threw tread on 3 of them within 2k miles. good alignment and balanced. switched to wranglers and havent looked back. the wranglers even feel better to me. i got stuck twice in the bfg's... have yet to get stuck in the cheapo's.

just sayin... application and personal need is what its all about.

i got them km2's 255-85-16 on my dually. have about 25k & 50% tread life. good tires, kinda loud. they do tear up some mud and clean out really good. drove around for about 5k with bad front ball joints and they took the wear impressively to be honest. in our fleet we have an 00 f350 4x4 7.3 sc sb with toyo open country 315-75-16 mts with about 35k & 30% tread life, i think they are lasting longer but its a honda civic or two lighter and the tread compound seems harder.

my buddy rolls the toyos mts and gets 42k on average in his 01 f250 with at least 250-350 gallons of diesel in the aux tanks 24/7 for heavy eq.

nothing wheels or wears like them swampers. got a set of them tsl's on my highboy...yeah buddy
