Water in passenger floorboard and vinegar smell

I have a 2007 F 150. When I use the a/c there is a strong vinegar smell when I first start the truck and the passenger's floorboard is wet. No antifreeze, just water. And no problems during the winter monthes. It looks like the water is coming from the a/c hoses that come into the truck.Any suggestions?

You need to repair the drain or fitting. Dont use it until you do.

Yeah this is a pretty simply fix it is just a clogged fitting that has built up pressure and is now leaking into the cab. You may also want to open the door for an afternoon and pull the door sill to gain access under the carpet. Then just prop up the carpet some to allow air to get under it and help it dry faster.

Oh boy! Sure. Get yourself a Chiltons at the local parts store to help you locate and understand. Aprox $30, or just stop at your mechanics, he may be able to clear the drain for you.

OK, Thanks Im gonna try this on my own. I need a Chilton's anyway to check some fuses. And did you mean don't use the a/c until I get this fixed? Because its been a little warm in Alabama!

If you use the AC or defroster before unclogging the drain hose you will end up with even more water on the floor

I put it ramps this afternoon and tried to find the condenser hose, I found water dripping but not from a "hose". I ran the truck for awhile afterwards and had no water in the floorboard, so maybe my "mechanic-ing" did the job.

A strong flashlight looking down on the passenger side with the hood up. Behind the exhaust manifold on the firewall, low, is a tube. Sometimes this short tube has a elbow, sometimes not, the area can rust very bad, very quick and let water run back into the cab, wetting the floor. Adding an elbow to the short black tube, or repairing the damage to get the water drained away is important. "Ford idea, not the best. build. Silicone to seal, elbow to drain and a short hose is good.
