This mount is rated for the ecoboost as well and is safe to use. Warranty will pay for it. Rubber is thicker and changes the drive line angle. Your dealership WILL need the part number for the raptor mount. Ford's hotline will not give them a part number nor will they help them because the hotline cannot recommend a part that is not for that vehicle....period. Try it and be thrilled.

Any feedback on this fix? I love my truck but I pull a travel trailer throughout the summer and the shake/vibration is very irritating.

thanks

My dealer would not install this unit. Ford did not approve it for a fix on my truck.
Apparently there is a new TSB issued today for the early 2012 shudder issue. My dealer whom has been extremely involved on this issue just called to let me know.
No details yet as it was just issued on Monday TSB 13-02-13

Lets cross our fingers and pray
Im loosing income not being able to tow my equipment tailor safely to event.

Hmm, I just had the dealer reflash my ECM due to a hard 2-3 shift and it was TSB 13-1-7. I have taken the truck to two dealers for the shudder with no fix. My ticket is still open at both dealers but when they had my truck this week there was no mention of 13-2-13 to fix the shudder.

PS I also installed the ride-rite airbags (just for leveling with a heavy load, not to eliminate the shudder) - and the shudder is still there.

Im feeling your pain.
They have done every TSB, replaced numerous parts, shimmed everything every witch way and also tried an exorcism with a priest and a rabbi. Still no resolution.

If you want to have some fun. hold your foot on the brake to load the engine and accelerate to 3 mph and hold it. The entire back of the truck will do a booty dance. One may ask why would I want to do that? The answer is its simulates what I get when hauling a trailer.

Not that I have any hope but im going to get the Raptor mount sometime in the near future. Only issue is that if it dies work its going to void out any future drive-line warrantee claims that may arise.

My ticket is still open as well so keep in touch if you find out anything.

I also got my updated tune from 5 star for ford's new update and i think it made my shudder worse. If so then it confirms this is due to all the torque. I haven't pulled a trailer or had a heavy load all winter so we'll see how bad it is when I put the truck back to work. I'll fill the airbags as I've been driving with them around 20 psi. I'll push them to 80 or 100 and see what happens then.

Here's the TSB you mentioned.

"Some 2009-2012 F-150 vehicles built on or before 1/16/2012 may exhibit a vibration, thump or clunk noise from under the vehicle that may be more noticeable with increased road speed and driveline torque."

TSB 13-2-13

Last week when it was in I got the update as well. Now it also gives me a shimmy when shifting into 2nd.

IMO it has nothing to do with torque. If so why does it shimmy when rolling out of my driveway, or rolling backwards? (Off power)

As they applied the TSP fixes the speed of mine dropped from 5-7 to 3-5
Much more tolerable but still not right.

I just had my hangar bearing bracket assembly replaced a couple of weeks ago. This was the final fix according to FORD engineering. Same bracket as used in 2013 models. Part #AL3Z-4808-D Supposed to change pinion angle and eliminate shutter at take off and at 70-90km. Surprise! Surprise.! Didnt fix problem. Dealer now claims that if I install air bags along with the recent updated bracket my shutter will be gone. Of course at my expense. Not sure if I want to spend the $1,500.00 that the local dealer recommended. If I was guaranteed that this will work then I would install.

DO you have or can you get a TSB# from the dealership?
This has not yet been done on my truck. If there is a TSB, its worth a try.

I have so many TSB fixes stacked up Im wondering if they look at that when applying the fix with another TSB.

Its like over medicating and having one medication that counteracts the other. Wonder if I need to have an intervention with my truck and send it to Betty Ford for a month.

No TSB just part #s. Dealer is working with Engineering in Michigan. They claim that this is the final fix. Shaking is actually worse. Has anyone noticed a strange rattle sound coming from the right side of the engine when starting from cold? It lasts for several seconds. (Ecoboost) Sounds like an old diesel truck starting up. This is also a another complaint that the dealer says they can't hear even though I have a collection of audio recordings for them. Been happening for about a year.
Part #s for hangar support are AL3Z-4808-D (support N13) hope this helps.

Why do I have this low speed shudder with my 145" WB single piece aluminum driveshaft F150 then?

2013 F-150 Scab STX 3.7L 6'5" 145" WB low speed shudder

Not an 11-12 but experiencing a shudder under mild acceleration from stopped through 3rd gear with the 6-spd auto. Took it into the dealership where purchased yesterday morning; stated they couldn't duplicate the issue. Received a call this morning stating they discovered the transmission acting up as I had told them.

After consultation with Ford Engineering, they reflashed the TCM and KAM which corrected the problem, sort of. Now the shudder has moved to the 4th-5th gear upshift but it is hardly noticeable and I can live with that. Ford told them no TSBs exist for the issue.
