Haha, those limiters are funny. My TBird has one at 113, which is still pretty low RPMs. I know my truck does 105 bcuz thats all my buddy's BMW will do and I was just barely catching him.

I would hate to see the results on twisty roads.
Both SCRebel and I have straight axles in the front of our trucks if I remember right.

I had the speedo well past 85 the other day to get around some texting jerk on I-75 and I still got passed by others!

My 92 F150 351W 3.55 with 32's was a bear to get to 80mph, never likes going ANY faster than 70. Hit cruise control at 75, wouldn't hold speed until it dropped to about 50. Will say I did have the speedometer maxed...and then some. Truck was screaming!

I dont have an issue with my truck getting up to speed or holding at highway speeds with the 351,e4od,3:55,4x4 and 33" tires

Before the turbo, it took a little while, but didn't complain having the speedo bounce from peg to peg... Since the turbo, it effortlessly has the speedo bouncing and is still accelerating.

I've had my truck doing 70-75 for 6 hrs, and then 80-85 for another 3-1/2 on a trip from home to work and I actually got my second best tank ever at 13.8 mpg. (I did have a 15-20 mph tail wind though). It just loves to cruise at 80; a lot more comfortable and it feels like I'm not working the truck where as my '03 Focus feels like it's always working to keep that speed on the same trip. (and I usually lost 5-10 mpg by doing that speed compared to 60-65 in the car).

My F250 has a 351w and a ZF5-42 with 3.55's on 265.75.16's (31") and turns about 2300 @ 80 mph. I would like to go to 3.73"'s because we have some hills around here and I feel it would help the high gear drivability. I rarely run @ 80mph, most hwy driving is 68 to 72 mph ... better mpg and less tickets. Nevada HP isn't too bad but, Cal HP is a P.I.T.A. !!! Dave

Mine's been well over 100. Shortly after I bought it, like every other vehicle I have, it had to get a proving drag race (Me and my dad are...competetive). His '01 1500 Chevy, with the 5.3, and my '91 250 with the 460, in stock trim. It was amusing to see the difference in power bands in the two motors. Off the line, I was pedaling pretty hard (No trac-lok ftl), and his low-end grunt-less LS were even. I finally started to hook as I fell out of my power band, and his LS got into it's 'band, and he pulled a bit, both shifted, I hit the low end grunt, and his fell on it's face at lower RPM, and I passed back. Lather, rinse, repeat for every gear. He hit the GM 94 mph limiter, and I...didn't. I pulled away, then realized I just bought this thing, on old tires, hadn't checked the brakes, nothing...and slowed back down. I'm confident it would have been different now, but he then traded the Chevy on an '06 Dodge diesel, which in now way not stock, and I've got no chance against that one

the speed limiter on my old saturn was at 108, and actually turned the car off and wouldn't let you restart till you got down to 95 or so.

That is scary stuff(for lack of a better term).

My FSB will do it. Also scary stuff. Plus I donʻt need a ticket to the "Policemanʻs

ball".

My brothers 97 TBird is the same way. I think that one shuts off at 102 and you cant start it until it drops to 80 or so. It's a really big gap.

And that is why the limiter on my '97 'Bird has been removed. 120+ before I decided I should slow down. It was still pulling hard too

But then again, my Bird is...well, non stock is a bit of an understatement
