just to be clear... the upfitter switches control relays. those relays are what accessories are connected to. the switches themselves can only handle enough current to power the relays. but it seems as if some of you are suggesting using different or additional relays from what i gather. not sure why tho

You could or you can use a bigger (correct amperage) relay and the switch and unhook the factory relay if desired to simplify and eliminate a fail point. When I redo mine this fall I will have four on a randy ellis bar on the bumper and two on my ladder rack. All lights will be on the same switch (it suits my purpose). You can modify the switches and relays to suit your purpose if you need additional amperage for lighting etc. as long as the wire and fuse sizing is correct

ive got two 25 amp switches and a 15amp remaining. and since the lights im lookin at are rated at 100w and 7.14 amps (100w/14v=7.14a) and 7.14x3=21.42amps i think i should be fine with the stock relays

I'm not sure about doing dual relays, I just used a seperate relay and switch. I don't think you are stuck with the relays in your upfitters, I think they can be changed out for a bigger one, not 100% sure through. more questions, not much help...

I would highly recommend going with Rigid Industries and one (or combination) of their LED light bars. I have two Dually D2s on my motorcycle and these are really nice bright lights that are virtually indestructible. My bike is dual sport that heads off road on a regular basis and these lights have performed flawlessly.

Admittedly, they are a little more expensive, but since they are LED, the power draw is minimal and it wouldn't be too difficult to wire them into the high beam circuit with a relay, or wire them to your upfitter switches. Rigid even has a specific light bar and mount to fit in the front bumper of our trucks between the tow hooks. Good Luck.

If we didn't have the front plate law in Wisconsin, the 20" Rigid would be on my truck for sure. My cousin has dual 6" on the front of his Tundra and they work really well.

This is not true...the light is included per the product description. Not saying it's inexpensive, but it isn't $1460 for the lightbar for the SDs.
In stock and ready to ship is the all new LED light bar kit for the 2011 & 2012 Ford F250/350. This kit comes with all the hardware needed for a no drill install. The light is also included. Utilizing existing bolt holes this kit will mount a 20" E-series light bar in the lower grill opening. Includes full color instructions.
