Looking for some help before I drop $1900 on a re-manufactured crate engine...

Used to run like a champ no problems ever with only 109k milesand it sat for just a little over a year and when I got it handed down to me as a project it wont crank over at all even when you jump on it with a breaker bar.. sounds likeits trying to turn but is frozen up. closest example to noise is for you to try to push a front door open when its closed with all your body weight

So you cant even turn the motor over with a breaker bar?

Could be a variety of things. Starter is jammed in flywheel? Pull starter and see if it turns over with breaker bar. If still doesnt then it sounds a bit more serious.

 

Pull all the plugs and spray some penetrating lube in the cylinders and let it sit for a few hours and try the breaker bar again. Make sure the transmission is in neutral if it is a manual.
