2008 Ford F150 XLT Sirius Radio Help

I recently purchased a 2008 Ford F150 XLT and in the features it stated that the vehicle has a satellite capable radio. But every time I push the Aux and 1 button like the Manual states no numbers come up. Just looking for some help on how I could setup my satellite radio in my truck. Thanks in advance.

It may be satellite capable, but you will generally have buy other components for it such as the Sirius/Xm receiver itself or maybe an antenna and pull the radio and plug these things into it, until you do that, I don't think you will get any readings on the radio that it even exists. And of course you will have to call Sirius and pay for a subscription to receive satellite programming. I'm honestly not sure about the factory radios on the extra components as I have an aftermarket sat. ready unit (and I love it, got a lifetime subscription 6 years ago and have never looked back), but that was the impression I got. Maybe someone who has a factory unit can chime in. Sorry if this is of no help to you.

The factory radio in my truck is a factory sirius. You do need a subscription to receive it although on mine you press the aux button and it goes to channel 184. Press it again and the same ....you get 3 sets of 6 presets then press again and it goes to aux input. I dont Have the sirius as i had xm before i got this truck and like the fact it is removable and i have a boom box for it too. So there you have it....press aux button and it should tune to channel 184 but none on the presets change ot using the tuner buttons dont change the channel either...in my humble opinion id rather have a removable system, and use it in the house car or boombox

So you have a plug and play system? I actually have 3 subscriptions: one plug and play for my wife's vehicle, one plug and play for myself, I have the boom box as well (for work) and I have a docking station and whole home transmitter for my house, and then I have a unit that plugs into the back of my JVC satellite ready stereo. One thing I have to mention about the plug and play systems that many on here don't know about, is the fact that the systems that plug directly into the back of a Sat. ready radio play at a much louder volume content than the plug and plays with the volume being controlled by the aftermarket unit. My buddy got a plug and play unit and couldn't figure out why his volume content was much much lower than the one in my truck, well that's why. If some are wondering why I have so many subs............ I purchased the JVC unit (DD w/ navigation and dvd) to replace the crapp factory AM unit that came in my truck, and I signed up for Sirius for that unit and payed for the lifetime sub for it and realized that I didn't have anything to take into the jobs I would be on and purchased more equipment and subs, I know, I know.... I am addicted to it.
