More than one style of motor mount 5.4?
My brother needs help with his 2004 xl 5.4l he busted a motor mount. I offered to help because I have a parts house discount through my racing team. The parts house tells me they have more than one style cheapest going for 30 the most expensive going for 140.
All my brother knows is it's square. Parts house says more than one is square and now we are stuck.
Anybody run into this issue?

Call the dealership parts counter with your brothers vin # and find out what fords part number is. Then give that number to your parts guy.
As far as someone that has already done this, how are they going to know what mount your brother has. The parts store can't tell the difference, so they must have used both parts in 2004.

Motor Mount
2004 was the cross-over year for trucks. Ford had both the heritage and new body style. If there are 2 mounts, then likely one is for each.
Have your parts guy reference both a 2003 and 2005 and likely one will match out to each of those years.
If that works out, then get the one that matches the body style.

I forgot about heritage models wow I feel dumb haha. Parts house is always so spot on I don't question what they have to say.
Everything is straight now. Thanks.
