300,302,351 mpg??

What's the difference in mpg from a 300 302 351 etc there a huge difference? With these high gas prices it be better to have inline 6? Or is the difference little?

If gas mileage is a concern, go with option 4: Ford Focus. Seriously.

Obviously, a 300 has the best mileage of the three. It's reasonable to achieve 15-18 mpg with a 300 if it's properly tuned and you drive responsibly. A 302 can get close to that, but a 351 not so much.

You'll find a lot of threads discussing MPG and how to maximize it in the engine specific forums.

They've been pretty helpful for me.

just legit clocked my 300 in a 79 4x4 f150 with 4.11s doing mostly 60mph@2500rpm and it got 17 mpg. checked the plugs and everyone was gapped .030 instead of .044. runs better now too
