H.O. High Output or High Disappointment

Just got my hands on a couple of 5.0 H.O. intakes for nothing, but they will need a few parts to make them work. Before I go and dump a pile of cash into TB's and gaskets, will this intake work for my application. I have a 96 F150 5l 2wd and I run mostly highway, but am not scared to latch onto a 10k lb trailer. Will this intake be worth the effort to change, and do I need to change the ECU, or can I just bolt the sob on, whip a tb on and lite up a set of tires !

The HO intake may give you a few HP increase at high revs and cost you a few ft-lbs of torque where you need it. If the same intake would have worked on trucks, Ford would have used it there and saved money in the process. With the rest of the engine unchanged, I doubt you'll notice much difference either way. Personally, I'd consider this swap at best to be not worth the effort and at worst a bad idea.
