I think I may have a touch of the C.R.S. but can't recall what that stands for. LOL I am older than any of you have posted here but I'm not telling. As for the younger generation, yeah they don't seem to work as hard. I work for Ford in Kansas City and we have alot of younger people there. I was able to get my son on almost a year ago. He has surprised me to no end. Really busted his butt to learn any job they put him on. Proud to call him my son.
Anyway going to get the TT from storage later in the week. Going to go out for the second time this year. Can't wait. Also planning a trip the Mt. Rushmore in July. Budgeted for $5.00 a gal gas so I should be good to go.

It's a shame when you have to budget for gas.
What do you do at the Ford plant? Can you drop a hint for a V8 or V10 over 7 liters and more than 400 HP? If not I understand.

I'm just a Ford grunt. Drive a forklift all day. Used to get excited about the new trucks but when you see them all day long it's "ho-hum." All I can tell you is I see more and more of the Ecoboost trucks going down the line daily. When I ask the guys on the launch team if anything new is coming and either they don't know or they are playing dumb. Only thing I can tell you is a few years back had a friend that worked on a team that put a V10 in the F150. Right after they figured out how to do it on assembly line the gas crisis hit and that project got axed. Now that would of been cool!

Well got to WI with the 5th wheel, no break downs or mishaps. Going through Chicago last night and made the mistake and didn't take the outer loop and traffic was a son of a pup. It will be good to sit by a campfire and enjoy a cold one after ramming for 2,288 miles last week.

Nothing like a good campfire and a cold beverage.

With the lack of rain around here, I hope there isn't a fire ban at the campground during Memorial Day weekend.

That would have been enormous! A V10 in a half-ton... holy crap...

Campfire and a cold one sounds like a good time but we are setting at our home base doing maintenance on the truck. trailer and yourselves Our next time out will probably be in July with a trip to the Colorado mountains for a fishing trip and then in September we will be on the road again until next May.

Changed my oil on Saturday and while under there I noticed 3 broken exhaust manifold bolts. I knew there was at least one broken, at least they are easy to get to. Oh they are the ones all the way back on the drivers side.

I changed the oil, transmission fluid and filter yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find nothing in the transmission pan but a little leftover fluid and some normal black residue that's always there from normal wear. So the old girl should make another year of traveling before I buy a new one .

Sometimes it seems that where always working on these pigs. Found a seasonal place to tie up for the summer here in WI so that will take care of wondering where I'll have to go for the holiday weekends when the campgrounds are full and I 'll be able to pm the vehicle at my leisure.

I always do my major PM in May when we are back at our home base, this year the truck was easy but the trailer was a PITA because I had replace the springs because of age and mileage and I can you it was not fun but that's the price we pay for living most the year in a RV

Yeah, that's something I need to do - I've been putting it off and putting it off. Changing the tranny fluid. Got 50K miles on it now without a change... yuck.

I've got to change the tranny fluid also. Want to do the rear end too. For some reason that is the one that I am most hesitant about. Never opened a rear differential before. Going to Mount Rushmore first week in July and want to make sure the truck will get us there and back.
