Installed Aries Bull Bar and PIAA driving lights

I spend all day Saturday installing the bull bar and lights...just a heads up for everyone...install the lights on the bar first, then put it on your truck...then run the wires after you get it on. I used the AUX 3 upfitter switch for control, and used the firewall pass through you see in the pics to run the wires into the cab. If I had to do it again, it would take me a quarter of the time...but such is learning!
Let me know if you have any questions guys!

Thanks for looking guys!!

Nice job. Looks great. I noticed the TX license plate. What part are you in?

Speaking of plates, you may want to find a way to mount that plate on the outside. An overzealous DPS officer could get you for an obstructed plate.

Looking good !!!
I miss the PIAA 520's I had on the Ex - they would light up the night well !!!

On the Ex I was able to just screw the plate into the grill body a bit higher so it could be seen thru the bull bar and never had a problem,
but I did have to relocate the fog lights to below the bull bar:

Sugarland to Dountown, man you must love traffic on 59. I lived off Bissonnett out past Cook Road back in the 80's for about 5 years or so. The last 2 years was driving a tow truck, and 59 in rush hour was a money making hwy.

On a side note, I spent about an hour on Google Earth looking over all my old stomping grounds; man have things changed in 20 years. I sure loved Houston but the oil debacle and the construction industry tanking forced me to move on to college, and never made it back for a job after that.

So what did you do with the recovery hooks? Did you remove them altogether? It's hard to tell from the pics.

I am in Houston also, far west side inside Hwy 6 and Westheimer. When I put my bull bar on I took the license plate off and dont plan on putting it on untill Im forced to! I used the Aux 3 upfitter also, why didnt you use the factory pass thru wires for your lights?

Post a pic with the relocater on when you get it.

A few more questions:

1. I looked at these a while back. What model number is yours? I saw there is a 3" and 4" with about a $300 difference between them.

2. Where did you buy? I see a lot of price variance online.

There are 4 wires in the factory loom that go throught the firewall with all the other wires. There is about 6"-8" of wire on each side of the fire wall from the inside of the cab going to the engine compartment so you don't have to drill through the firewall.
