I'll join this, I have a 53 F250. I am want to update but i do not want to downgrade in class. I want front disc brakes but i do not want the down grade to a 5 lug wheel, etc
i did find a resource for 8 lug front disc brakes so, otherwise i was looking at a rear axle and a front spindle swap with a newer F250-350
here is the link, does anyone know these guys?
Ford F2 & F3
My Truck is going to be a daily driver so i want to work just as hard as used to.

yes, the frames are identical except for length. The F100 has a 110" WB, the F250 118" WB. The 250 frame is longer in front of and behind the rear axle but can be shortened relatively easily if you want to use the F100 shorter narrower bed. No one is currently reproducing the F250 fenders, running boards or bed.
You can put all the F100 suspension on an F250 frame for lowering and softer ride, and put F100 hubs and backing plates/drums on the F250 spindles to get 5 lug bolt pattern. The front axle and spindles are identical.

frame??
Thanks once again guys for all the input. It is great info. Yes I would like to update the front and rear suspensions. May it be Mustang II or other. Now that I know the frames are darn near the same I can move forward. Does anyone know of or have a decent cab for a 56 That will be next also. This forum is sooo valuable wow.

Just because the frames are the same width doesn't mean the MII kits will fit in the heavier frame. You're going to want to check on frame rail height, as well. You may find your frame is taller than the half ton, and the hat location in relation to the crossmember won't be correct. Even something as simple as frame wall thickness could have an impact, however minor. Just something to think about.
