Had the NOX sensor/reflash today

Brought my truck into the dealer for the NOX sensor and reflash as per the letter from Ford. The entire procedure took about 2hrs and to be honest the truck seems to shift alot smoother and she seems to have the same awesome power as before. Did it affect the MPG?, only time will tell.

Had mine done yesterday as well.
I haven't noticed any difference yet, other than I had to turn back on the gear indicator on the dash.

You might need the solenoid change then. My dealer did the Nox reflash and also the tranny reflash as I had the 2nd-3rd issue. They said there is a Solenoid replace
TSB if it continues. You might check on that.

Mine is running pretty good and the shifts are smooth.

I also seemed to have picked up temporarily (Ill see if its stays) about 1 - 2 MPG on the Highway. Normally Run around 21 on my trips to Boeing Field from Everett (50mi) and today coming down the Lie O Meter says 23.2.

Thanks for your advice, I'm gonna push for that next time I bring my truck in. Been in twice now, but they keep trying other stuff that only helps for a few weeks or so, its shifting so hard from 2nd to 3rd sometimes it actually making a clunking noise.

There is a TSB out for the Solenoid according to my dealer. Might want to research and have ammo ready

Took me four tries to finally get to the solenoids replaced.
Should be easier now though since I began my battle prior to that TSB.

My dealer admitted last time that they have had other trucks in with the same issue, so hopefully this next trip they with do the tsb.

My trucks rough shifting became worst over a couple months, started with a rough jerk, to now clunking whiplash. And same here once its warmed up, it usually shifts normal....

My truck shifts well after its warmed up. When it's cold, everything seems stiff. I don't see the problem?

Trucks are supposed to clunk when they shift, only from 2nd to 3rd, but shift fine in every other gear? I didn't see a problem with just the rough shifts either, until it started clunking. Also the fact that when its flashed it shifts way better, makes me believe that it should shift good all the time and that something is wrong.

I would like to know your secret to getting that kind of mpg because I can not get over 17mpg. Also anyone have the issue with tranny going from 3rd to 4th and it holds in 3rd until about 2500 to 3000 rpm before it shifts? I am going in on monday morning to have the flash done I hope it solves that issue.

I see a torque converter in your future. Sounds like when you get flashed and the tranny is in adaptive learning it is able to over come the hard lockup of the T.C.

I run about 62 mph going to Seattle. When I towed down to Long Beach Washington and back I got about 12.4 for the 500 mile round trip. Last year to Vegas and back (2900 miles) I averaged 12. I run at 60mph when the 5th is on back. Last year on a couple long trips sans trailer I averaged around 20 - 21 highway running 65.

Thats all Ive ever done. Im pretty easy on my accelerations.
