Dennis, actually spent my birthday in the hospital with Dad.
They finally did the operation which they should have done last Thursday.
His cathe was leaking because of the buildup in pressure from the blood clots which eventually stopped his ability to pass the clots thru the cathe.
Fortunately he has a good urologist. I paged the Dr. from the ER and told him of the problem with the cathe leaking. He came in within 15 min., arranged to have the OR setup for the procedure and gave Dad some pain medicine.
On a Sunday, and mother's day at that, it took some time to get the wheels greased and the staff called in for the operation.
Any way by 1:15pm, Dad was on his way to the OR. The operation lasted until around 2:30pm, and he was in a regular hospital room at 3:15pm.
He is doing well considering that the options at this point maybe limited. We will find out more today.
He is in remarkably good spirits. Thanks for asking.
