Just wanted to vent a little this morning and tell a little story....
So, I decided a couple months ago to rebuild my 400. After hours and hours of research, I finally decided to go with the TMeyer kit and get the flat head 9.3/1 pistons, Weiand intake, Edelbrock 650 carb, and all the goodies to go with it. Pull my motor, run it down to the machinist, find out it's bored .030 over but he can take it out to .040 over and get the ridge out. So.... I get on the horn and call TMeyer Inc to order my parts, ans Tim tells me he just sold his last set of .040 over pistons and it will be 3 weeks until he gets some new ones in. No big deal, so I tell him to ship everything else to me and when the pistons come in to send them to my machinist. This is 3 weeks ago. Last week I call him to check on things, and he hasnt even shipped out the rest of the stuff I ordered yet because "I was out of stock on the Weiand manifolds, and I just got some new ones in, so I will Send them out today." That was last Wednesday. About 20 minutes ago i get an email that says "I am very sorry that Im so far behind. It seems dumb that I can't even find the time to put a kit together. But anyway, the kit is going out today. I have the complete kit with the pistons and I will be shipping it all to your machine shop. The business address is cheaper for you also. They will have it in 3 day. Again, very sorry for the delay. Just way to many irons in the fire". Keep in mind, I payed him 3 weeks ago. Is it just me, or is this really poor business, and customer service? If you say you are gonna do something, then do it. And if things change, send a damn email and let your customer know that things changed. Sorry for the rant, just irritates me that I've been waiting for 3 weeks for parts that just got shipped today.

Hey, nice looking truck you got there!
Man, I would be upset too. Most places don't charge you for stuff until it ships. Have you dealt with this place before, or heard of anyone else having problems?

Nah, first time I've dealt with the place, but everything I read on the place was nothing but good things. Otherwise I never woulda went this route. Im impatient as heck as it is and maybe I'm overreacting, but It's really irritating wating on something you were told was shipped and find out twice in a three week period it hasn't even left the business yet.
