Dual exhaust on my 66

My 76 parts truck included this system. I think its a LMC system. All I got is what you see.

Im planning on running up to Summit and buying a set of turbo mufflers and a set of ss exhaust tips and installing this on my longbed 66.

Some day I will put a better system on but this is a lot better than the ratty one legger thats on there now.

What I need is a diagram that shows me the location and number of hangers.

Im guessing that I will need donuts for the head pipes, clamps for each slip connection and an unknown number of hangers.

Thanks for helping a brother out.

I believe there are only 2 hangers per side. That is what is on my truck in the stock location front and rear.

Excuse me, there are two mounting points for hangers on the passenger side. You could make a mirror image of them on the driver's side by drilling the appropriate hole size in the appropriate location.

No Ford truck was available with dual exhausts until the Lightning models of the late 1990's.

Since dual exhausts were not available for trucks of this vintage, there is no factory diagram for them. All duals were fabbed up by muffler shops or were bought as kits from aftermarket sources.

BILL, I thought all slicks came with the well known magical 390 and the magical dual exhaust.

66crawler is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Those turbo mufflers are terrible, I'm running 12in glass packs and it sounds amazing with no drone at all.

Here are the hanger mounting points for a stock exhaust. My front was missing the rubber part while the rear was an NOS one that I found. A round muffler fits nicely.
