bad miss, need help

I swapped a 74 302 into a 83 ford ranger i changed the distributor to one from a 79 duraspark. #2 and #5 cylinders dont fire at all i put on new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and changed the coil, still misses. tried new ignition box that didnt work either. all cylinders have 140psi compression. carb is a holley 4160 vacumm secondaries and automatic choke that just got rebuilt. Idle screws are at 1 turn out, float levels are good and powervalve isnt blown. timing is 8 degrees tried 6 doesnt make a difference.im also getting alot of fuel in the oil. everything is stock on the motor except for the carb, intake and headers. what do you guys think? distibutor mabye? thanks.

Tried some more stuff today pulled valve covers off and pulled rocker arms, no play in valves, no broken springs and the pushrods aren't bent. put a spark tester on and i get spark to all cylinders. even tried a calibrated spark tester and still get spark and the engine runs the same with it on and one cylinder unplugged. Now i really dont know whats going on i even re timed it. I have spark, fuel, air and compression still misses. I know its missing forsure because it still has paint on the 2 header tubes. any ideas? thanks.
