73 ford f250 cs hazzard light ?????
I was going to the reciclers, things were moving around, pulled over turned on flashers, corrected problem in the bed of truck, got back in applied brake pedal and flashers stopped, went solid, let up on brake pedal, started working again, I have never noticed this before, is this normal?? turn signals and brake lights work, flashers work untill brakes applied
thanks

That's normal; it's supposed to be that way.
The turn signal switch is designed to stop the flashers when the brakes are on for safety reasons. The turn/stop/hazards are all one filament in the bulb, so if the hazards kept flashing with the brakes on, no one behind you would know you're stopping if you have your hazards on. The turn signal (whichever side) stays on with the brakes pressed because only one side is flashing, so you have the other tail light to tell people behind you that you're slowing down.

I can also confirm that. A couple of weeks ago, I pulled to the side of the road and turned on the emergency flashers. I had my foot on the brake, and the dash indicators were solid. I figured I had a marker bulb out.
When I got home, and checked all the bulbs, I found them all good. A week later, I received my new operators' manual, which confirms this operation.
So...youre good to go!
