1985 Ford f250 is dead

I have a 1985 ford f250 and it is dead. I replaced the battery, solenoid, ignition switch, and checked the fuses. The ****ing thing is still dead. I know the starter is good. When I turn the key I get nothing no lights no click no whirring, nothing. At first when I changed the battery I hooked it up wrong stupid I already know. I don't know what else to check on this thing.

Sounds like you blew a fusible link. I don't know where they are for sure. It's a rudder thing kinda over the wire with like fuse in raised letters on it. Generally under the hood just of the solenoid. Anyway that's my guess.

We could use a little more info as it may be any o several things.
Like what engine and is it carbed or injected?
Does it have a computer if injected?

I know the fuseable link that you're talking about. Are they easy to replace? I checked on google about it and I found out that if you are able to stretch it, it's bad which is the case. I'm pretty sure it's carbed. I have not seen any coil packs.

Just get a in line spade fuse holder at like Napa. It splices in where ya cut the fusible link out. It comes with a fuse.

Hello so after a long time I finally got things sorted out and now I get lights and a clunk noise when I try to start it. I only get one noise when I turn the key not a rapid sound. I got it to crank one time last night when I tried. What could be the problem?

Yep it was probably just that fuseable link the whole time. Once I got that replaced I had to hook it up to the positive terminal on the solenoid now it is running like before. What a pain in the ***. Thank you for your help.
