Camp, Shoot, Wheel, Spring 2012

This was brought up in the Off-Road Adventures thread, but we haven't scheduled it, or talked about it much.

I'm Guessing its time we start getting this on the calendar and start talking about it.

Any Preferences? March, April, May?

Edited: Date has been set tentatively for April 21st and 22nd. Some folks may wish to come in on the 20th and make it a three day weekend?

I went to an indoor riffle and pistol range with my brother and my sons. Not able to shoot my original 1890's Trapdoor as it uses real black powder cartridges. I have a blow tube for it and I need to finish sighting in my H&R Buffallo Classic. Both are long, heavy single shot riffles. And I have one new revolver I haven't shot yet: Buffalo Arms - Product Detail - Richards Transition Model 5 1/2" 45LC Case Hardene - $506.89

I have a few hundred rounds for each of them. So my vote is for any date that the range is open and I welcome anyone with beter eyes and shootin skill ta help sight both the riffles in.

Fancy Creek Range should be open March 3-4 & 17-18, April 7-8 & 21-22, and May 5-6 & 19-20.

The later the better for me. Late April/Early May? I'd actually do the shooting portion of it for once, hoping to have a decent pistol by then.

I like April as a good time for me. May becomes hectic for us with other stuff. Also, the Lawrence swap meet is usually the first weekend in May.

unfortunately, my wife scheduled Sophia's birthday party that weekend. Its possible (maybe) I could be out there Sat evening, and Sunday, but I don't know if anyone is planning on spending the night, so it's a possibility.

Julie says you are all welcome to come to the party. its just cake and snacks.
