460 motor mounts

My 79 f 250 4x4 was converted from a 400 to a 460 and the goof that did it butchered the pillars that the mounts bolt to and the drivers side (torque side) is the worst. I am looking to replace the entire setup on both sides and I was hopping for some suggestions on what to get other than a stock set up.

Thanks!

1973/79 F100/350 460 / Ford part numbers shown for orientation only, all are obsolete.

D3TZ-6028-A Right & D3TZ-6029-A Left .. Engine Supports aka towers, stands, perches / Bolt to engine crossmember.

D3TZ-6030-A Right & D3TZ-6031-A Left .. Engine Mount Brackets / These bolt to the block, the rubber insulators bolt to these, then to the supports.

2) D3TZ-6038-A .. R/L Rubber Insulators.
---------------------------------------
D3TZ-6A023-A .. Transmission Bracket, some peeps call this a crossmember, bolts to the R/L frame rails / Same: 1973/76 F100/350 360/390 C6.

D3TZ-6068-C (replaced D3TZ-6068-B) .. Transmission Rubber Insulator / Same: 1973/76 F100/350 360/390 C6.

Gen-u-ine Ford Parts. Used on all the specific Ford trucks listed in post 2.

Note: 460 not available with a M/T or 4WD until 1983. So the parts listed in post 2 are 2WD only.

I had the same problem. I went to the junkyard a found a 78-79 4x4 and unbolted the towers. Paid 20 bucks for the pair. Then I ordered the motor mounts from west coast broncos. Seems like no one is having problems with them when other brands are. I didn't want to be replacing them later.

Why not just fix what you have ? You now know where the holes need to be so you could cut a piece of plate out, cut that area out & weld in the new piece then make the new holes.
