Axle question
So I was wondering..... I just found a 1984 ford f250 with a dana 44 front axle. My questions are is the front axle in this truck a solid axle and second is the d44 in this truck the hd d44

It is not a solid axle its ifs

Correct, it will be a TTB axle (not solid) and it will be the HD Dana 44 with 8 lugs.

Well, ifs and I am not aware of a HD 44 ifs.

You'll find one under the front of ANY 4x4 F-250 from 1980 to 1997 unless it has a Dana 50, which is also a TTB axle.

The D44 HD IFS ended In 92. Every 94.5-97 F250 had the D50. Each of my trucks has one.
