94 F150 m5od grind hard shift. Clutch pedal loose
Got this truck in trade deal.
I notice that it hard to shift and did fluid change it was NASTY. I use mercon It work much better but it still do grind hard to get in 1 and 2 gear.
I notice if I push clutch from top there about 2" of play before it stop by clutch slave cylinder. I notice brake pedal move when push clutch.
How hard to change bushing on clutch/brake pedal? I don't think firewall is flexible since I had 3 early 90's F150 and F250 they flexible with steering column.
It had 170K miles of CITIES no highway.

If both pedals move, it's likely the diecast pedal support that is cracked.
I would always install the firewall reinforcement on this era truck.
Certainly, if you have everything removed, do it while access is easy.
If you think it's only the bushings you will need to drop the steering column, disconnect both master cylinders and then the clutch interlock switch wiring before removing the pedal support.
Bushings are available.
If not from Ford then aftermarket from some place like LMC

Forgot to update.
It wasn't bracket that crack I know what you talk about. I had 91 or 90 F150 before it had crack alum bracket but this one is steel bracket.
I inspect it definably bushing that let this issue.
I got new bushings from dealer. I couldn't believe it cost so much. $29 for bushing kits that go on shaft to bracket and $11 for lock tab bushing for slave cylinder to arm on shaft.
I notice if I let in neutral then immediate shift in 1 it grind. If you hold clutch like 2-3 seconds it go in 1 gear. It been doing that for many years that boss told me.

I don't know about the shaft bushings but the four fingered bushing that fits into the eye of the M/C pushrod can be had in a bushing assortment from Dorman (#14041) that is available through any autoparts store for ~$4.
Since you have it done I guess it doesn't matter except to someone looking for help by searching this thread.
