Exhaust manifold questions

I found this ad in CL and it leads me to questions.

ford hedman long tube headers

Are there years that the bolt patterns on the exhaust manifolds are different for a 460? I'm pondering different ideas for exhaust for my 75.

I know the EFI engines (starting in '88 I believe)had different heads than earlier carbed engines in that the intake side had a different layout for runners/bolt pattern, but I'm not sure about the exhaust side.Either way most ofthe header manufacturers make headers to fit your specific application. If you're looking or a used set then thats a gamble for any engine/chassis combo. The trick is to ask the seller what they came off of before you tell them what your combo is.The earlier carbed 460 is/was more pleniful than the EFI series.I have longtube Hedman headers in my '88 F250 w/carbed 460 and they fit fine.

The EFI heads have different exhaust ports too, they are more rectangular than the carbureted heads. In 93 they increased the size top to bottom, but the width didn't change.
