Horn button question(s)
Ok been looking for a few days (and decided time to ask) google and the like arn't much help, most what I get are pictures and articles and other things like that explaining what it is or does, or that it is a switch...anyways what I want to know is this, since ford used the same type of steering wheel thats in my truck in other vehicles (too many to count) and I know from time to time made different colors is it possible to take the horn button and change it out? how can I go about doing this?
It should be possible as I know since its a separate button/piece it should be able to be changed (I assume it was put in at some point in the factory during assembly and not made as a one unit piece), anyways thanks for the help!!

Feel around with your mitts or look on the backside of the steering wheel, there will be two or four nuts located there.
Remove the nuts, the pad comes off, the R/L Speed Control buttons (they're actually a one piece assembly) can then be removed.
The R/L horn buttons have wires connected to each, these wires feed behind the pad. How can you unplug them without removing the pad?

That's not what the Ford truck parts catalog shows, cuz I just looked at the pic of the steering wheel and related components.
Helm (helminc.com) has printed all of FoMoCo's service literature since the late 1940's. Has every manual available for these trucks, that were used by Ford techs.

My truck is a 1995 XLT if that makes a difference with air bag...
