Im sure that car plus a trailer would really dog the ol 7.3 down plus my pizza cutters, plus interstate speeds, plus mountains...

I guess I could go out and try to find myself the biggest used tires I can and put em on the rear axle lol.

Funny thing is, no matter which route I take, I will drive right by the Newport KOA lol
I just drove threw Mooresville NC yesterday going to pick up a parts truck. It's only about 3 - 3 1/2 hours from me. How much is this guy willing to pay to get that Super Bee delivered?

I have towed quite a few cars on trailers with my truck in stock form and I haven't had a problem towing them. With your 4.10s and pizza cutters you should have even better gearing for towing them. I would tend to avoid the WV Turnpike (77) and the associated steep pulls if you're worried about the weight, but it really shouldn't be a bad pull for you. Heck, you could make a long weekend of it and stay at the KOA a couple nights.

And Todd, do I take that to mean you're ready for wiring? My offer to help still stands.
Nate, I pulled the load I sent you the pic of up I77. It wasn't a heavy load at all, probably 5-6k lbs trailer and all. I pulled every mountain on I77 in 5th gear at 70-75 mph, EGTs never went over 1000*. Even on Fancy Gap and Camp Creek. Those are two longest and steepest pulls. I was pretty happy with the way the truck performed. It's sweet spot towing light like that seems to be at 70-75 mph and about 2600 rpms. At 70 mph pulling those long mountains I still had power in reserve with that light of a load. The only thing that ever slowed me down was other traffic, but when I could get around them I could pick back my speed.

Bill, your truck is a towing MACHINE! I'm glad it worked well for you. No clutch slip issues on your trip?

No, not this time. I tow in my Daily Driver tune. I got it to slip the other day in the Extreme tune when I was gonna race it at the dirt drags.

LOL! I do want to replace the clutch, but don't want to break it just yet I think I have decided to put a full ceramic back in it. Now, I know that the full ceramic are not recommended to tow with, but if I can get the trans that I built from the gasser trans with the lower gears in it rebuilt and put back in at the same time as the clutch, I don't think it will be as much of an issue. I had been thinking about the full ceramic for a while and Travis and I were talking the other day and he kinda helped me make up my mind for sure on it. I don't have the money for a dual disk and I know the full ceramic will hold, so with the other trans freshly rebuilt and back in, that's the route I'm gonna go I think.

Cool! I have two OBS PSD trucks sitting in front of my shop to work on. I gotta get all the oil flushed out of the cooling system on the F-SuperDuty and get it finished up today so I can get paid! LOL The other one is the ECSB that my buddy just bought. I gotta go through it for him. Do brakes and check ball joints, install a LED light bar and gauges, and do e-fuel.
