I'm swimming over here. Monsoonal rains of late, including tonight just before the hometown show I go to with my half-ton. Picked up 2nd place in the truck class tonight, which was pretty exciting.

So like the thread title says.....

Just do the essentials and the rest will either get done before the trip or wait until afterwards. You don't need DVD and sound for RRE, though having it in the truck DOES make it a nicer trip with kids...

I'll be working on the OBS under a canopy this weekend with all the rain. Gotta get some things done to it before July gets going...

I've just come to accept that Gretchen will be rolling in the same way as usual. No fun parts, but some necessary maintenance stuff is fixed. lol

I did just pick up some steel to make a filter bracket, but looking at my calendar IDK when ill get to touch it.

Just got a new hood and tail gate put on great white. It was much needed as the hood was buckled (you could about stick your hand in between the fender and the hood on the pass side). It looks great with the new stuff!

Maybe if I get a minute or two I'll throw up a pic.

Now to get the rest of the body stuff fixed (just dings, dents, scratches, the usual) Cant make it too nice though, or I won't want to use it for its intended purpose! lol.

I insured my enduro yesterday . Not that it's much of a bike but it is fun to bomb around on. I figured if I insured it I would be able to park my truck for long enough to pull out the interior to clean and sound proof it . Gotta keep the wife happy and is way rather spend all day driving my truck on a road trip than her car lol.

Oh you guys are so fussy! Just kidding. Here you go.

New gate

Gap between door and fender was also fixed.

A before pic to show how bad the gap in the hood was.

Looks good. I kinda like the painted tailgate over my aluminum one myself - debating making the switch.

I think 97 was the only year they did it. I've been told it was a way to tell it was a 97. I almost did the aluminum but I just went for painted instead.

My 96 has an aluminum gate. The bed was replaced, so it might be a 97 bed for all I know.
