the official OBS diesel off topic thread
The out of towners really suck. Doing 30 in a 50 zone of winding hilly 2 lane roads sucks. I cranked up the tune through that and left them behind. I wonder if the scenery was the same as I went by lol. My cruise is working most of the time but I almost think it's actually turning off. Not just deactivated like the brake light switch does. I'll pay a bit more attention as we go. I won't be doing much driving in the next few days though cause we are visiting my brother in law. I've been getting a lot of looks over the truck around here. You don't see many vehicles older than 2008 around here so a obs in reasonable shape is a sight to see lol

the official "the I should be working on my truck instead of typing thread"
I also prefer a manual over an auto, especially in OBS terms. You don't have I rebuild a manual after 150,000 miles of stock power... Not to mention I have always HATED the way the E4OD shifts...
Iv got a ZF waiting in the garage and it'll do plenty of towing
Now in terms of a 6.0L Super Duty... It'd be hard to swap my 5R110 for a ZF-6. But no doubt I'd do it if the opportunity became available

I do love the shift pattern of the zf-6 though. Always made tight maneuvering more enjoyable to me.

mine is a blown out clutch knee.
although the clutch did not blow it out, stepping on the clutch a couple hundred times a day does not help it either.
if i could figure out how to always do a rolling start it would be great, but there is always that one jackwagon that just HAS TO BE in front of the big bad truck at the red light. even when we are the only two vehicles on the 4 lane road, and they will not move until i come to a complete stop.

I usually never have problems with getting carsick. The one exception was when Bill was showing JP and I around in the mountains, there were some real steep, winding turns. And I was in the back seat. Thats not a good place to be. While I refrained from getting sick, I was darn close. lol.
Bill has a LEAD FOOT! lol, jk Bill...

It wasn't that bad was it? LOL!!!
One more report, and I will stop bragging on my grandson. LOL He is bringing home the Reserve Champion SR Boy's Saddle Bronc buckle from the National Little Britches Rodeo. He also tied for first place for the average, but lost the coin flip, so also has the buckle for Reserve Champion in the average. All in all Dylan has had an outstanding 2 weeks, bringing home the reserve champion at both the National high school , and National little britches rodeos. A pretty good job for a 15 year old freshman. The buckles also come with scholarships for collage, just how much I don't know, but IF he keeps this up, he may have a free ride for his collage education.
