But in 370k miles how many times did you have to replace the clutch? 4-6 I'll bet...

You can get 100k out of a clutch.
Hell, my car has 140k on it and I drove it like I stole it.
As I said in another thread, clutch wear id all determined by your left leg.
Most people slip the clutch too much and wear them out to early.
I've not seen very many e4od's go more than 200k though.
Even on normal everyday driving. They destroy themselves with the poor TQ lock up issue.
If you have not put all the 270k on yours, you'll never really know if its been worked on.
I know the e4od wont handle hauling that long either, especially if a 4r100 will toast itself after 200k hauling.

EDT: it is possible that it was replaced within the first 88k miles but I see no evidence of that. I do know that the first owner had a 5th wheel on it so it was a tow rig right off.

Alright boys settle down! We're all friends here!
Whilst we eagerly await news (well, pictures more so than news) of Glenn's new purchase, here is some reading you might enjoy.
1946 Dodge Power Wagon gets a modern makeover | Fox News
I am not a Mopar fan by any means, but an old Power Wagon is one Dodge I would be happy to drive. My only question is why they wussed out and but a 4 cylinder (most likely a 4BT) Cummins in it and not the big brother 6BT that all the Dodge brethren so vehemently admonish?
