Hope the guy fixed the 6.0 before putting it in. Once theyre fixed, 6.0s make great motors!

Put the 7.3 to work the past two days. Had a friend of the family call and say she had a water break. I showed up and didn't really feel like shoveling. Sicne she was a friend and I was lazy I went home and got the Ditch Witch

I think I was pushing the limits of my trailer lol

The 6.0 is a solid motor regardless. We have 2 at work that run fantastic. One with 190k. They both have deletes on them, but nothing else. We put 8k lbs of salt on the 450 in the winter. All that being said, would I buy one without the coin to do "all" of the 6.0 fixes....probably not.

From what the guy told me he did a LOT of motor work on that 6.0 before he put it in. New heads, studs, gaskets, turbo work, injectors, you name it. Really clean install though; I'll have to go through my pictures to see if I have any good ones to share.

Yeah, you're pushing that trailer a bit lol. I need one like that at my disposal though.

The Ditch Witch isn't mine... sadly. Its my better-halfs uncles. Hes letting us use it to clean up the property. Man them things are work horses! I cut down a pine tree (prolly 40') hooked onto it with the DW and it didn't even grunt. It was pretty soggy out and it didn't break traction either. I was well impressed. The hoe is pretty underpowered but will dig a hole pretty decent.

The ol trailer is 9990 GVWR. The dealer said its good for around 6600 lbs after you subtract the trailers weight. I googled what the DW weighs and its around 7700... sure made the trailer grunt. You can sorta tell in the pic, the piece of diamond plate on the dovetail is bowed lol. Im REALLY surprised the ramps held. All in all im impressed with the trailer for being an "affordable" one. Ill recommend it to anyone

The trailer I pulled the show truck to Indy on was rated I think at 10,000 or 12,000 lbs...big old equipment trailer. That was sweet to have for sure, beat a regular car trailer for sure. But I lack the space to store something like that, at least without having the neighbors jump all over me.

Hey guys! Been a long time since I have been on. Work and life have been crazy. Thought I would share a picture of the truck being put to proper "redneck" use. I had the chance to do some canoe camping in the Sumter National Forest with my 73 year old dad. It was awesome. We fished, ate good and paddled in perfect 75 degree day/45 degree night camping weather. We looked a little funny going down the road with 10' of canoe hanging out the back, but it was strapped down real tight and all the weight in the bed.

I have done stuff like that before! I'll have to find the redneck way I hauled about 300 board feet of lumber in the back of my Expedition...talk about a mess and a half lol.

Hey, Glenn. Yeah, it doesn't get much better than primitive camping with your dad when you are both old enough to appreciate it all. I take my sons now but they don't appreciate what is really going on. Sittin around the fire with my dad is a whole different thing now that I am not a complete idiot anymore...lol

Good to see you in here, Dan. I hope all is going well. That looks like an amazing way to spend some quality time with dad.

Glad you were able to drop by.

So, you ended up running those 37s I see; I mean that's what they look like. Did you get a decent set?
