the official OBS diesel off topic thread
A-Ron you are not kiddin! This job seriously kicked my tail. But, I am happy to report that it is DONE!!! No leaks and the car is now free of anti-freeze after all of my power washing and cleaning. After about 6 Coors Banquets in (they don't have Shiners in CA) I was finally able to get it completed. I still have to put the seats and console back in after the carpets dry from power washing, but that is nothing. I'll get those back in tomorrow and it'll be good to go.

Morning fellas.
Hey, I know it's a longshot to ask this, but if any of ya'll have parts trucks sitting around that you're not going to use the side moulding/trim strips on and they're in good shape...any chance I might be able to purchase same from you? Mine doesn't have, and my goal visually for the truck is to be as close to original as I can get, with a few touches.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY too!

Just did a heater core on my Subaru work car a couple weeks ago.......SUCKS! I think they hang the heater cores up and build the cars around them!
I got some flak over wanting the moldings for my truck (which currently doesn't have them) but I came across this picture, and it's pretty close to where I'm shooting for mine to end up. I just like stuff being close to original, I guess:

My truck has the moldings on the cab and doors. I have a bed that has them on it too. Duallys didn't have that molding. My truck was a single wheel 4x4 and converted to a dually. It had a flatbed on it when I got it, but I put a dually bed on it, so I'm taking the molding off. Are you in a hurry for it?
Bill, I'm actually going to pull all the molding off my truck. You are welcome to it when I get around to it getting off. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY too! ...............
